Jefferson Co, MS. This plantation was right across Fairchilds Creek from Hermitage Plantation - Adams, MS. This plantation was on the southern border of Jefferson County.
This plantation was at land coordinates T8N-R2W, section 22. It was only in the part of section 22 that was north of Fairchilds Creek. Rokeby was probably in sections 19 and 3 as well. This land can be found on-line at:
The plantation was set up in about 1812 on the part of Gabriel Benoist's 4,000 acres of land that passed to his daughter Victorie.

William Shields owned this plantation. His wife was Victorie Benoist. Victorie was the daughter of Gabriel Benoist and Elizabeth (Dunbar) Benoist who owned Hermitage Plantation - Adams, MS.
